Newark HS Basketball Coach Attacked By JV Players After Livingston Game

The Shabazz High School's junior varsity basketball team coach was brutally beaten by his own players after an away game in Livingston Tuesday in Newark.

Video footage published by RLS Media shows a person on the ground outside of the Newark high school being punched and kicked by at least three team members in a nearly 25-second attack.

Livingston officials said Shabazz players were engaged in "some physical confrontation among themselves" during the game. It wasn't until they returned back to Newark that the attack on the coach occurred.

The coach did not appear to have suffered serious injuries as videos show him getting up and walking away after.
